👋 I'm Luca, a scientist turned founder who loves building products.

I spent seven years as Co-founder, CEO, and Head of Product at Injoy, a health tech company at the intersection of microbiome science and AI. We built the most comprehensive gut health test on the market, along with an AI assistant that helped people make sense of their results and figure out what to actually do next.

Health has always been central to my life. I was diagnosed with cancer at five, and years later, despite taking my diet, exercise, and lifestyle pretty seriously, I went through nine months of unexplained inflammatory issues that took constant experimentation to resolve. I studied pharmacology at McGill and spent time in the lab, but even with that background, finding answers was slow and uncertain. I didn't want anyone to have to go through that, and that's what made me a founder.

Along the way, I went through the Techstars Montreal AI program as its youngest founder, was named one of Quebec's Top 25 Emerging Entrepreneurs, and got to do things like co-design a large-scale inflatable GI tract in London and give HRH Princess Anne a walkthrough of why gut health matters.

I've been building with AI for the better part of a decade, and these days I'm especially focused on how it changes what’s possible for people in their everyday lives across health, productivity, and business. I'm based in New York and always looking for the next thing worth building.
